More Boy Layouts

I managed to do 2 layouts this weekend. I wanted to do more but it took a while to get into it. The first one was a challenge at AMR to use citrus colors.


This next one I combined the new sketch at 52 Sketches with a challenge at Scrapadilly.

Yay!

I am so excited to now be an AMR challenge princess. My layout won the scraplift challenge from Feb 12. I now get a cool blinkie for my blog and for my siggy at amr. If you haven't checked out the challenges you need to go do that. The challenge team has been putting out some amazing challenges that make you think & get out of your comfort zone. Thanks ladies! Here's the layout that won.

Busy, Busy

I still don't have my Christmas things put away including the tree. I'll blame that on hubby. I've mentioned a few times and he still hasn't brought the boxes in. So instead of putting Christmas away, I did a lot of scrapping this weekend. I made a few layouts and tried a technique called tea bag folding.

First some layouts.

I made this one using sketch 5 from 52 Sketches. The photos are from Easter 07.



This layout was for the color challenge at amr. You had to use a white background. The photos are from 1998 when we took the boys to see Santa.



Another amr challenge - use a one word title. These photos of the boys are from December 1998.



The last layout was for a challenge at scrapadilly. The challenge was to use red, white, and black cardstock - no other papers. I used photos from an Indianapolis Indians game in 2006.



Now for my tea bag folding. I used tiles from Circle of Crafters to make this flower.


I added the flower to a card.

New Creations

Yesterday I made a layout and 2 scripture cards. I am doing the scripture challenge from Triple the Scraps. I started last year but didn't get very far. This week's cards are "change" and "peace".

My layout was for a challenge at AMR. I wasn't watching the time and posted a bit late. The challenge was to use handwriting in your title. The picture is me when I was 7 playing the monkey machine. Papers are Cloud 9 with miscellaneous embellishments.

Scripture Mini Album

I finally used my bind-it-all today. I got it from my mom for Christmas, & I am just now getting around to taking it out of the box. I made a mini album for my friend who lost her son a week ago. He was 23 and died accidentally from carbon monoxide poisoning. My friend and her husband are both Christians and have raised their children with the word of the Lord. My friend is having a hard time with the death of her son as all mother's do. So I made this album with scriptures to help her through this rough time. The majority of the papers are k&co "Roam" with some miscellaneous scraps thrown in. I used many card sketches from splitcoaststampers.
