Some Photos from the OBX

Here are a few photos I took on our trip. The weather was great, the ocean was a little rough at the beginning of the week, we had a great time, & I got a little sunburnt.

A Few Happenings

I am home from our trip to the Outer Banks. We arrived home yesterday afternoon. We will be leaving again Wednesday afternoon for the Smoky Mountains. Maybe I can squeeze some scrapping in before I leave again.

The new sketch is posted at Creatively Yours. I loved this sketch!! I actually used a 5 x 7 on it which I hardly ever do. Here's the sketch:

Here is my take on the sketch.

I hope you'll give this sketch a try & let us see your work!!

Flowers in Bloom

My day lilies are in bloom, and they are just gorgeous. I made this layout for my faith album using the challenge at SPCC. The scripture is Galations 2:20 which says: I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the son of God, who loved me and himself for me. I used a June sketch from pagemaps for inspiration.

Monday's Sketch at CY

It's that time of the week for another fabulous sketch from Noella at Creatively Yours. This week's sketch is round and the DT team has some great interpretations of the sketch. Ali also has some tips about how to do a round layout. I hope you will go check those out. Don't forget to link up to the post if you play along.

Here is Noella's sketch for this week:

Here's my interpretation of the sketch:

Sparkle Time

Finally Finished

Last October I started a Week in Our Life album inspired by Ali Edwards. I faithfully took my photos each day & did my journaling. I started putting the album together but never finished it. I finally did that this weekend. I had 3 days left to put together. I also made photo collage for the front and a cover page. It feels so great to finally be finished with this album!

It was time to clean!

After doing some scrapping over the past couple of weeks, I looked around my space and couldn't take it any longer. It was time to clean!! I worked on it Friday night and finished up today. I took a 3 drawer cart from Jacob. I had just collected way too much and needed some more storage. Here are the before and after photos.

I am so glad I took some time out to clean! Now I can get back to creating!!

Another Creative Day

I made another layout today. {I just love being home for the summer!!} I knew I wanted to use the song Call On Jesus by Nicole C. Mullen on a layout. I just didn't know how yet. Well it came to me last night. I wrote the song out on the background paper, colored in the loops, highlighted some words, and added my photos & embellishments. I do like how it turned out. Thanks for taking a look!

Potty Training

No this isn't your ordinary layout for potty training. My boys are 12 so this is potty training - 12 year old style. Caleb was filling up the camper on Friday with water. Well he got it in himself to put the hose just so like he was peeing. Jacob of course wanted to give it a try. It took them some time to figure out how to put the hose so you didn't see it & it looked like they were peeing.

Challenges this covers:
Pile It On - Non-stamp sentiment/title
Scrapadilly - Potty Training
All Moments Remembered - Color Challenge (use colors from the rainbow)
Cafe Mojo - Summer Fun

Digital and Paper

I finished two layouts today - one digital and one paper.

This one is digital. I did this for a challenge at One Single Seed. The challenge was to do a layout about something that is unique, interesting, or obsessive. I served as Grand Bethel Honored Queen for Indiana from June 99-June 00. Digital kit is Simply Stated by Mad Scrapper Designs.

The paper layout uses sketch 22 at 52 Sketches 52 Weeks. The photos are of my roses yesterday. I used College Press, American Crafts, and Paper Studio papers. I also used my BoBunny chunky letters.
