Almost Christmas!

My shopping is not quite finished yet. I still need a couple of gift cards. I also need to wrap some gifts. I'll probably get Dan to do that since he likes to wrap. I did finish my mom's photo canvas project. I found the idea here. Here's the photo canvas for my mom.

I want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas!! I pray for you all to have a joyous and safe holiday!

God Bless.

Counting Down

Last night we (my family, my sister's family, and my parents) went to Beef & Boards for their Christmas show. It was wonderful. They danced and sang a variety of Christmas songs. Of course we weren't allowed to take photos during the show. We all enjoyed it even though it was a whole whopping 1 degree outside when the show was over.

Today I did some more Christmas shopping and am almost finished with my list - just need a couple of gift cards. Dan wanted me to make some white chocolate chex mix for his work so I made that today. I'll still have more to make tomorrow or Wednesday for his family. I love this recipe. I don't drizzle the chocolate on top. I tried it once and it didn't work very well. You can make this colored by buying the colored candy melts.

We also had our class at church. Dan and I are taking the Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University class. We've gained a lot of information from this class and are starting to change our financial habits. I highly suggest this class if you have one in your area. It is well worth the money!

I did make a layout today. I did this for a challenge at PageMaps. I just love their sketches!!
Materials used: green cardstock - Hobby Lobby; tree & red paper - Basic Grey; buttons - unknown; white ribbon - unknown; red ribbon - BoBunny; "Cherish" - MAMBI; holly border - Fiskars border punch; holly leaves - Cricut "Christmas Cheer"
Tomorrow is supposed to bring us some icy weather. That just means more time indoors to scrap!!

Happy Sunday

Well we've been busy this past week. I did go shopping with my mom and sister. We spent 2 1/2 hours in Hobby Lobby! I picked out a few scrappy things for Christmas. My mom is getting me a Bind-it-all so I needed a few accessories. Most of my shopping is finished. I do need to pick up some gift cards and something else for the boys.
I did some scrapping Friday night and Saturday. I completed a couple of surprise projects that are going on at AMR. I also completed another project that will be going to several AMR members. I can't post pictures just yet.I was sooooo excited to wake up Saturday to SNOW!!!!! We had enough to cover the ground. Of course my pear tree still has its leaves, so that was a bit odd. Caleb was doing some shoveling for us before we left to go shopping.

We decorated our Christmas tree tonight. We put it up last weekend but never got around to doing anything with it until now. The boys are getting older now and don't find it as exciting to put ornaments on the tree, but they obliged with the family tradition.
